Autumn Winds Comfort

poster information

Description

Autumn winds comfort
spreading scents of the season
like an ocean breeze

Autumn is my favorite time of year. The way the wind blows reminds me of the ocean. You can free yourself of things, just let them blow away.

It's the change of the seasons; the wind is blowing away the summer and bringing in the fall and the winter.

I love sitting in the backyard and feeling the wind blow through. You never know what kind of scent you're going to catch. You'll see me stop moving when a breeze comes by, just to enjoy the moment. Lots of memories of the wind in the fall for me. I went to SUNY Binghamton, and the campus is on a hill. I used to just sit and let the winds brush over me.

Autumn has always been my favorite season. The rich colors, cooling temperatures, and apple flavored everything. I just love it all. For my piece I chose to depict a classic autumn scene: children jumping into a pile of leaves. The enormous pile of leaves was intended to reference the essence of fall but also a tidal wave, like the ocean breeze in the poem.
